PostSecret, a community art project that collects anonymous postcards, posted this video of military and war-related mailings. People’s secret desires, stated frankly may make you smile and will definitely open your eyes.

The Good Men Project Magazine has an interesting premise. Labled the anti-Maxim by MediaWeek, it’s generating buzz and running articles about male postpartum depression, having a UFO expert for a dad and an Army Ranger’s take on Pat Tillman. It’s also posting items from contributor  Lt. Newman McKay, a recent graduate of Centre College in Danville, Ky. deployed to Iraq until Spring 2011. His Facebook page says he is with the 632nd Maintenance Co., 110th CSSB, at COB Adder. (And that he thought the new Usher joint was sick. Moving on.)

Were you Snooki in South Korea or Iron Man at Camp Arifjan? We want soldiers’ stories. Where were you and what costume did you wear this Halloween? E-mail us. (This photo of faux Julian Assange and faux Pfc. Bradley Manning courtesy of Philip Neustrom, via BoingBoing. Um, too soon?)

Read about co-founder Jaeson Parsons, an Iraq veteran and former medic, in this week’s OFFduty, on news stands now.

Once in a great while… OK, every week, there comes a new YouTube sensation. Antoine Dodson.  The 82nd Airborne Lady Gaga dancers. The trampoline bear. We say, why not Safety Ape? He loves near beer, hates daisy chains in your CHU and he’s 100 percent ready for prime time.
