If you post naked pictures on Facebook, your CO might see them

Apparently, girls will be girls, as well.

A group of female Israeli soldiers got themselves in some hot water recently when they staged a racy photo shoot in their barracks room, complete with combat gear and brightly colored underthings.

They posted the photos on Facebook and, not surprisingly, their command got a hold of them.

“The commanding officers disciplined the soldiers as they saw fitting,” the Israeli army said in a statement.

There are countless similar photos from our own Army  floating around on Facebook — have any readers ever been identified and reprimanded?

I think the real question here is, what are these soldiers doing with semiautomatic weapons in their bedrooms? Do they put them under their pillows at night?

They’re not safe for work, but the rest of the photos are available here.

If your commander punishes you for this, he is wrong. And bad. There should be a new, stronger word for him… like badwrong, or badong. Yes… punishing your female troops for raising morale is badong.

From this day forward, I shall stand for the opposite of ladytroopers being punished for naked pictures… gnodab.

  2. One wonders if the images portend to rising discontent of having to be conscripted and the general reality that most 18 year old’s minds are more often fixated on the inane and the rambunctious and their new found sexuality. Then again it could also be an issue of women forcing a dialogue of the objectification of women in society whilst at the same time asking them to bear arms….

  3. People forget that this type of behavior can affect your career and follow you for the rest of your life. It might seem fun and inoccent for some during that moment but how about a few months or years from that time. I guess they can forget about moving up the ranks or a high profile job in the future…unless is in the porn industry…how about the embarrasment it brings to your family members. Sometimes people need to think before their actions…

Israeli soldiers carry their weapons with them everywhere, McDonalds, malls, and their rooms. Spooky the first time I saw this but given the fact that they are in a constant war-footing with their neighbors, it is easy to understand. But there is a reason we called Israel “the land of milk and Honeys!” God bless them!

  5. This isnt new. There were gag photos like this from WWII, Korea, ‘Nam and so on. Those that live on the edge of combat for prolonged periods of time (Which the IDF does simply by existing) trend towards living life at its fullest and doing things incomprehensible to those that havent had the experience. when any moment could be your last, you dont bother trying to collect regrets.
What is new, and truly pathetic, is the limp-wristed PC filth pretending to be leaders that want to make this a crime now, instead of the “slap on the wrist” joke its been for generations.
